Better days

I'm so excited to have so much knitting to do, I'm almost done with the rasta hat for my daughters co-worker and I also have the bags to finish and an afgan to make but the last week my fibro has been so bad I finnaly called the Dr and I go in in a few hours. I sure hope there is something more that can be done cuz all the knitting and cleaning and moving is almost impossible like this.
and to top it all off a twig on the whreath on my front door jabbed me in the eye and I think it did some real damage, its the same eye I hurt mowing the lawn a few years ago.

A NEW DAY

My girls told me to start blogging a long time ago so I can rant to someone other than them.

I've decided to start this to record all the crafts I am embarking on and the other projects in my life. Then maybe I'll be to busy to rant.

I'm loving that I can sell my knitting after first planning to way back in the early 1990's. I have realized that I would have to charge a lot more than I think I can get for it to really make it profitable so I'm looking into buying a simple knitting machine just to make simple scarves and blankets but I like doing the hats and bags by hand.
I also went to the DI (second hand store) and purchased several wool sweaters and a couple of coats to make bags out of. I've already felted the sweaters and disassembled one of the jackets and i have the plan in my head for turning the coat into at least one bag or backpack.

Another far off plan is to make some simple string bags and some net produce bags and get a booth at the SLC Pioneer Park farmers market to sell them but we'll see if I can make enough to fill a booth.

So, I've sold 2 shopping bags on Etsy and 2 locally and I have an order for 3 more locally. I'm so pumped about this and it gives me so much confidence because its been less than a month since first embarking on this new adventure.
